Those who want to work in Portugal but can’t find opportunities while still in Brazil can legally reside in the country for 120 days, with the possibility of an extension of another 60 days, for those looking for work.
What do I need to apply for a work visa for Portugal?
If you fit the profile covered by the new visa, you will need to present a criminal background check and prove you can afford to stay in the country until you get a job.
Diana Quintas, CEO of Fragomen, states that: “This was happening before, but with a shorter given time frame. The values, however, have not been defined yet”.

Cautions that holders of this visa must take
If you are not able to be hired within the allotted time limit, you will be forced to leave Portugal and will only be able to apply for a new visa 12 months after the final expiration date of the previous visa.
